This is Jon's water garden. The sump pump drains here as well as rain water from the gutters. The irises didn't bloom last year, but they really like their new location.
We went to Starved Rock State Park today
http://dnr.state.il.us/LANDS/LANDMGT/parks/i&m/east/starve/park.htm. Lucy and Maggie really enjoyed going for a short hike. Lucy walked and Maggie rode on Mama in a carrier. Lucy said, "I've never seen this before!" when Jon took her to a lookout over the Illinois River. Lucy sprinkled the rocks on the trail and liked hooting like an owl as we went up the steps to Owl Canyon. It was really busy and muddy so we didn't see the
actual "Starved Rock." Maybe next time.

We're glad to hear you enjoyed the state park. The bike trailer (and the girls in their helmets!!) looks like it will be perfect for riding around Bolingbrook and on your trails this summer.
