Happy Halloween

Jon and Lucy had parties at work and school today. Mommy just had work. We had about 30 trick-or-treaters. We were expecting more so we have lots of candy.

Grandma and Grandpa Manley came to visit over the weekend. We put them to work too. Granpma hemming curtains and Grandpa cleaning the garage. They also got to spend lots of fun time with Lucy and the gang.

Lucy hasn't mastered putting the rings on the pole, but she likes to put them on herself. We didn't teach her this, she just started doing it and it makes her really happy.

Daddy Day

Lucy has spent the day playing with Daddy. Mommy has a terrible head cold. I think I am over the worst of it, but I have spent most of the day in bed or on the couch.

Special Delivery

Today was the best day Lucy has had in a couple weeks. She has been having a rough time with teething. That's why I haven't posted as many pictures on the blog lately. Every time I put her down or got more that a couple steps from her she would cry and it would take a while to calm her. It is good to see her smiling and playing again. She loves getting the mail with Mommy. I usually give her a piece of junk mail and she will carry it all over the house. Today she got a book in the mail from Grandma Kathy.

Where's the gates?

We seriously need to install some gates. Lucy thinks the stairs are her personal
playground.

School Days

Here are Lucy's fall school pictures. The teachers all tried, but they couldn't get her to smile. I think she was overwhelmed by the lights and all of the commotion. The pictures are really over-priced, so I wasn't planning on ordering any.

Happy stepper

Lucy is having fun walking around the family room today. It must be the biggo shirt from daycare. The teacher didn't look in her bag for an extra set of clothes, so Lucy got to wear a borrowed one.

We had a great visit with Great-Grandparents Brown. They rode the Amtrak in to see us.

Out of hiding

Lucy was a jabber box today. Day care was closed for teacher training, so she spent the day with her buddy Brian. Brian is three, and his mommy is preparing him for another baby. When he saw Lucy at his house this morning he wanted to know if Lucy was his new little sister.
