Hi Monkey

Lucy and I went to Red Robin today to have lunch with my old bosses. While we were waiting for them to arrive, the vending machine guy came to fill the prizes. Lucy watched him with amazement as he filled the different machines with toys. When he was done he gave a monkey to Lucy. He said he has three of his own kids and none of them look like Lucy does. So he either thought Lucy was really smart or really cute. Either way she has been walking around all afternoon saying, "Hi Monkey."

Bye Bye Grandma

Here a some of the pictures that Grandma Kathy took while she was here. She left yesterday morning. Lucy really enjoyed having her here. Jon and I did too.

Happy Easter Eggs

Grandma Kathy brought us a trike. Lucy's feet aren't quite long enough, but it should be perfect by summer. She really likes sitting on it and playing with the streamers.
Lucy had her first egg hunt this morning. She really liked finding the eggs. The best part was the eggs had Little People inside.
With the help of Libby, she even put them in her basket.
Eggs! We have read lots of books about eggs lately, so Lucy knew just what to do.

Bittersweet

This is Lucy on Sunday. She likes to sit at the top of the stairs and kick her feet.
Daddy was installing some latches on the sink cabinets. Lucy was right there helping. I wish I would have been a little faster with the camera, a few seconds before Lucy was crawling on Daddy.
This is Lucy on St. Patrick's Day/Daddy's Birthday. Mommy got a call at work that Lucy had another incident at daycare and had a bruise on her cheek. This is the third incident in a month. Long story short, I put in my notice at work and Lucy will not be going back to daycare. Grandma Kathy is going to come stay with us, so I can work out my two weeks. I am sad to leave my job, but happy that I have a supportive family and the means to take care of my own.

Yay bath time. Lucy got lots of kisses because of her festive shirt.

Pre-Birthday Celebration

We went to the Chinese Buffet for lunch today. It wore Lucy out. She fell asleep on the way home and then got nice and cozy on the couch after I took her coat off.
Jon brought these tulips home for me on Wednesday. Ahhhh. They opened up yesterday and are really pretty.
Jon baked our super special birthday cake this morning.
Happy Birthday to us!
Lucy ate the frosting, but not much cake.

Doramobile

Pretty soon Lucy will be able to take the Doramobile outside. We just got back from a great walk and are getting ready to go to swim class.

Yay!!! We got to go to the park.

The weather was finally nice enough to go to the park today.
Lucy had a great time.
She loves the slide.

Hello

Here is Lucy helping Daddy on the computer. Over the weekend we met Christopher and Claudia in Dubuque, IA. The boys went skiing and the girls enjoyed the sites around town.
Today is picture day at school. We are practicing our smile.
Something tells me it is going to be a repeat of last time.

Waiting for class to start

Daddy went to swim class with us tonight and took lots of pictures.
We get to class a little early so we can wade around for a few minutes.
Lucy is good at walking in the water.
She kept going back and forth between Daddy on the side and Mommy in the water.

I can see!

I trimmed Lucy's bangs up on Sunday. She seems to like not having her hair in her eyes. But she wiggled lots while I was cutting. The bangs ended up shorter than I intended.

W-A-L-K

Daddy decided he was going to work on the front closet today. So he emptied everything out and put it on the floor in the living room. Lucy found the dog leashes and had a wonderful time walking around with them dragging behind her. It made the poor doggies want to go for a walk.

Ft. Vacuum

Mommy put my toy on the couch so she could vacuum.
I thought it would be fun to climb through the door and play.
