Feeling Nostalgic

I was looking through all the photos I have on the computer and figured I would share this one.

Camping with Daddy

Sometimes when Daddy tucks Lucy in she decides they need to go camping. This involves cuddling on the floor with a pillow and a blanket while Lucy talks his ear off.

It seems like the only chance I have to take their picture is when they are sleeping. It is always fun to look in on Lucy. You never know what she will have in bed with her or where she will be.
Maggie loves her swing. Mommy loves it to because it allows me to have special time with Lucy. Lucy has started drawing pictures. She likes for Mommy and Daddy to draw too. Usually she requests Dora or letters.

I'm OK

Maggie was a little sore and cranky last night from her shots. She cried more than normal and needed some extra cuddles. She is feeling much better today.

Maggie's 2 mos Dr Visit

Maggie had her two month check up today. She is doing really well. She got three shots and an oral vaccine. She cried a little, but was easily soothed by Twinkle, Twinkle and a bottle. Here are the stats and what percentile she falls into. We will go back again a 4 mos.

• Weight 10lb 11oz - 50th%
• Length 22 1/2 - 50th%
• Head 15 1/2 - 70th%

Lucy did well at the appointment too. She played with the toys and even answered some of the Dr's questions about Maggie. She was sure to get her sticker at the desk as we checked out. Both girls fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Maggie has started to really enjoy her baby gym.

She likes toys with eyes the best. Notice the bare leg...she kicked so much her pants fell off!!

Lucy watched Daddy shovel the driveway and then asked to have a snowy day. We have several books about snow. So she asked to have her snow suit and hat. Then said we needed to open the door for a snowy day. She even took her sand shovel out so she could shovel too. I had warm milk for her when she came in. She said she wanted cold orange juice instead.

I got 4 baskets for Lucy to help contain her toys. I gave them to her and told her to go pick up the living room. She stacked them together, got in and asked for a rocket ship ride. Needless to say, our floor is still covered with toys.

Lucy can almost peddle her trike. She is so close. Her feet touch now, but the carpet just has a little too much resistance for her.

Christmas at Home

We had a great trip and enjoyed seeing everyone, but we were really happy to get home yesterday.

Our Santa isn't fancy. He delivered Lucy a partially assembled kitchen. She loves it and played with it while we put it together.

We arrived at the Brown's on the afternoon of the 29th just in time to celebrate a MU game with the extended family.

We opened gifts on the morning of the 30th.
Lucy is getting better at opening gifts. For the most part she likes to just play with things that are already opened.

Christmas with the Manley's

Our Christmas travels began during a winter storm on the afternoon of 12/23. We packed the dogs and kids in the car and headed for St. Louis. After 7 plus hours of driving in snow and ice we made it safely to the hotel. We got a good night sleep then got to have breakfast with some friends before hitting the road again to Grandparents Manley's house.
