Special 100th Blog Edition

Little girl

Lucy had her 18 month checkup yesterday. The doctor said she was growing and developing well. Now she only has to go for yearly checkups at 2yrs, 3yrs etc. So our Lucy is no longer a baby. She is wee little though she weighed in at 19lbs 8oz which is in the less than three percentile. The doctor said not to worry about her being small though, because she has a steady growth chart and is healthy. I forgot to take the book and I already lost the posty with her other measurements, but Lucy is in the 10th percentile for height and 50th percentile for head circumference.

Poor Libby

Libby has had a rough few days, but I think she will survive. On Friday Lucy and I took her to the vet for the first time since moving. She was due for her rabies vaccine. The vet was really nice and Lucy liked watching the other dogs. There were a couple of little white dogs hopping around that really caught her eye. I think they reminded Lucy of Peanut (the dog at her babysitter in Champaign).

Lucy likes to wear her snow boots to swim class because they are warm and easy to get on and off.

This is Lucy getting ready to make a mad dash for the pool. Her wet suit is insulated, so it keeps her warmer than just a regular swim suit. Daddy is supposed to come with us next Tuesday, so hopefully we can get some water pictures.

Lucy colored on herself today while I was making diner. Luckily the crayons are washable and it came right off. Not quite the blue marker incident of '81.

Ahhh...Sunday Afternoon

Lucy finishing her afternoon nap on Daddy's lap. Lucy likes to sleep the first part of her nap in her crib and then cuddle with Mommy or Daddy for the rest.

Tummy trouble

Jon and Lucy had a stomach bug for most of the week, so it was not fun at our house. We are all feeling better now and mommy got to go to the movies, take a nap and have a bubble bath today as a reward for taking care of the sickies all week.

This is a worn out Lucy. We had our first Parkie's Babies swim class tonight. Lucy really liked the water and watching the other kids. She isn't so good at following directions, but I am sure that will get better.

Lucy was full of energy today. She played and played. It helped that she took two naps. She also had her first ice cream cone today.

Lucy really likes this puzzle. The knobs make it easy for her to take the pieces out and put them back in.
The dance lessons have really paid off!

Daddy says this shirt makes Lucy look like a sheriff because of the star on the front.

Lucy had a good first day back at daycare. The other kids were happy to see her and wanted to help take her coat off so she could play with them faster. The teacher said that Lucy must have had a really good vacation because she was in a great mood all day and played with the other kids more than usual.

I replaced the zipper on Jon's coat tonight. I thought he was exaggerating when he said it didn't work anymore, but when he was shoveling the driveway in a heavy work shirt I figured I better do something because he won't buy a new one.
