Picture Day

Today was picture day at Lucy's school. We picked out a new dress and got all dressed up.
Lucy likes to walk around the family room with Elmo right infront of her face. Amazingly enough, she seems to fall LESS when she does this.
She walked around like this for at least 20 minutes.

Busy weekend

Lucy enjoyed a busy weekend. On Friday Lucy and Mommy went to the local mall and got Lucy new shoes. So far she seems to like them. The official step count is up to 21. She likes to play with the laces on her new shoes about as much as she likes to walk in them. She doen't want to be carried as much anymore. She wiggles to get down. On Saturday, Daddy replaced the waterpump on the Probe. He had worked on taking it apart in the evenings all week and put it back together yesterday. Today Uncle Chris and Aunt Claudia came for a visit. We all went to my work picnic at Six Flags. We walked lots and got to ride some rides. Lucy enjoyed the kiddie airplanes and the fruit salad ride in Wiggles World (actually she didn't seem all that impressed, but she didn't cry either.)

Lucy likes her shapes. She is good at taking them out of the slots, but she is still mastering putting them back in . The official step count for today in nine.

I'm not happy mom.

Lucy was in lots better spirits after we went to the park. She was tired of being inside.

Lucy had a rough afternoon. I think she is going through a growth spurt because she has been eating lots, sleeping lots, and having bouts of fussyness.
Oh no!!! I think you are going to have to replace the entire fixture!
Just kidding. It's ok.
I just need to make some adjustments.

This is Lucy running away from the vaccum cleaner. She does not like the loud noise. She is up to eight steps without getting down to crawl. Lucy is taking a nap now. She got tuckered out at the park today. They have finished the park right across the street from us, so we get to go there lots. Lucy loves the slide.

This is what Lucy's hair looks like after she rubs her spaghetti plate on her head, mommy wipes it off with a paper towel, and finally she gives it a good brush.

Introducing Libby Bryant

Mommy was working on the computer, and when I glanced over at Lucy she was standing on the couch waving her shorts around. This is the first time Lucy has gotten an article of clothing off all by herself (other than a sock). She was really proud of herself .


When Mommy said, "Sit down." This is the look I got. The last few days Lucy has decided it is a good idea to practice her walking skills on the couch. So I have gotten this look often. Lucy is up to four consecutive steps without getting down to crawl. She can go longer if she takes a break to hold onto something.

Lucy is starting to show more interest in walking. She has made several short trips today, but mostly she takes a couple of steps and then falls down.

We found the tofu at the grocery tonight. We will try it tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Lucy had a great time in Missouri. We loved getting to see everyone!
