Best Halloween Ever

Go Tigers Go! Lucy dressed up as a cheerleader for Halloween. She had a good time in her costume.

She did lots of cheers for Mama and Grandma Kathy.

We colored faces on our pumpkins from Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray.

Daddy took Lucy trick-or-treating to a few of the neighbors. According to Jon, she didn't say trick-or-treat, but she was brave and stood in the door to get candy.

Ready Freddy

Lucy reading her Pooh bear book. I had packed this one into the outgrown toys, but she found it and it is like new.

She wouldn't stop playing with it long enough to smile for a picture.

Lucy likes to put stickers on Maggie. These candies came in the mail from Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray.

Five signs we are ready for Maggie to come:

1. We finally settled on a name.

2. Jon and I are nesting. Jon swept the entire house on Sun and put together the baby swing and hung the wall hangings in Maggie's room yesterday. I cleaned Lucy's closet, wiped out the oven (this hasn't been done since last Nov. when I tried the self cleaning option and almost burnt the house down) and have been washing baby stuff for the past week. This is an exhausting task. Even though it was all in storage bins, there is a lot of it and it seems some of it was put away dirty. Libby!!!(Poor dog, she gets blamed for everything.)

3. My mom is coming tomorrow. That means I can leave for the hospital and not worry about Lucy. One of Jon's coworkers offered to keep Lucy if Maggie came earlier which was very nice.

4. I don't think I can get much bigger. Everyday it seems like there is less room for Maggie to move around and she is poking me more.

5. We want to meet her already!

Trick-or-Treat

Lucy is all ready for Halloween. Mommy is all ready for Maggie to come. It could be anytime now.

Marital Bliss

October 16 was our 4 year anniversary. We had planned on taking Lucy to swim class together and then going out for supper, but Lucy woke up with a cough and runny nose so we stayed home instead. Daddy brought home flowers, sandwiches and milkshakes.
Daddy brought Lucy a flower too. She carried it around and played with it so much that the stem broke. Then she took it to Daddy and said, "Fix it." We fix a lot of things with tape, but it didn't work so well for the flower.
Mmmmm, smells good.

Weekend Cont.

Linda takes so many good photos I had to post some more. Lucy insisted her pumpkins eat breakfast with her.

On a walk. Our tree lost most of it's leaves today and our neighbor to the East was so kind as to blow them all in the street for us. The street sweeper comes tomorrow.

Our weekend

Grandma Linda and Grandpa Ray came to visit us over the weekend. Grandpa brought pumpkins for Lucy and Maggie from his garden. Lucy's is the orange one and Maggie's is the green one since she is still in the process of ripening too.
Lucy really liked the pumpkins and insisted on carrying them around even though it was all she could do to heft them up. She would grunt and say, "Pumpkins too heavy!" We went to the Johansen's pumpkin farm and children's zoo http://www.johansenfarms.com/ . It is just across the street from the Walgreen's. They have all sorts of animals and things to look at.
Of course we fed some goats. There was a rooster there that was our favorite, but we didn't get a picture of him. He must have "Cock-a-doodle-dooed" 50 times in the few minutes we stood watching him.
Sunday was Ray's birthday. We had cake Saturday evening and Lucy loved singing happy birthday. She is still walking around singing happy birthday today.

Friday's doctor appointment went well. The baby is growing and has dropped into position. Just a few more weeks!
